Our Contact details
We are a public service organization running the centre to provide daytime services for people with special needs. We are a specialized institution helping people who live in central Moravia with poor sight or other disabilities.
The centre is a meeting place for people to learn how to accept their disabilities and how to manage their individual skills. People also motivate each other to overcome the consequences of their disabilities and to come to terms with their new health status and new level of abilities and skills. At the TyfloCentrum, they receive general information on services for the visually impaired and they acquire or improve their knowledge or skills in areas such as social contact, self-care and in operating electronic low vision aids. These skills help our clients to live more independently, increase their self-confidence, support their education and prepare them for retraining and for making a success oftheir lives.
The Tyflocentrum provides social services, either for those who are visually impaired or blind since birth or childhood, or for clients who are in a difficult situation caused by serious damage or total loss of their sight as a consequence of an injury or eye disease. Such services help them to fulfil their basic life needs, support their independence and self-fulfilment, make their own living and actively organize their social and working lives as well as their leisure time.
